- This is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Bank of Canada, or any provincial or territorial authority. Where public data is used it is attributed and linked to its source.
- Calculators are illustrations
- Every tool runs entirely in your browser on figures you enter, and returns a simplified model. Real outcomes depend on facts the tools do not ask for — other income, carry-forwards, spousal attribution, provincial credits, commissions, partial dispositions and superficial loss rules among them. Treat the output as an order of magnitude, not a filing position.
- Nothing is collected
- The tools do not transmit what you type. There is no account, no login, and no server-side storage of anything you enter. Nothing you calculate is saved between visits.
- Tax rules change
- Rates, brackets, credit rates, contribution limits and treaty treatment change, sometimes retroactively. Figures on this site describe the year stated and may be out of date by the time you read them. Combined marginal rates shown are for 2026, transcribed 2026-08-06.
- Errors are possible
- Figures are transcribed and derived, and both are fallible. Where something cannot be sourced it is reported as unavailable rather than estimated, but that does not make what remains free of error. Verify anything material against the primary source and a qualified advisor before acting on it.
Where the data comes from
- Marginal tax rates
- Combined federal and provincial rates for 2026, transcribed 2026-08-06 from a published rate table (source). Nothing in the table is computed or inferred.
- Policy and prime rates
- Bank of Canada published series, last observation 2026-08-07 (source).
- Fund figures
- A point-in-time snapshot as at 2026-08-10, used for worked examples in the calculators. It is not maintained in real time and should not be relied on as current.
- Corrections
- Errors are worth reporting: TODO: contact@dividendscanada.com. Corrections are made against the source, and the date modified reflects the last substantive revision rather than the last rebuild.
